Out on February 7 via renowned French independent label Play Two, ‘One For Me’ is a vibrant collaboration and long-awaited partnership between two close friends. The song blends their distinct musical styles into a groove-infused anthem that transcends borders, bridges the sounds and cultures of Angola and Congo, and offers a resounding testament to the evolving global sound of Agatchu.
Produced by AZNVR (MHD, Focalistic, TayC), the track delivers a rich and textured mix of smooth vocals, infectious melodies, and emotive songwriting from Agatchu and Ya Levis, creating a timeless synergy that celebrates their shared artistic vision. AGATCHU is an Angolan-born French artist, producer, and songwriter redefining the global music scene. Agatchu’s musical journey began as a teenager in the group RealOrBeatz, where his passion for rap and beat-making flourished despite the challenges of limited resources. Over the years, his undeniable talent and work ethic have seen him write and produce for some of the biggest names in afropop music, including Dadju, Tayc, and Ya Levis, contributing to their global success, while also working with international stars like Teni, MHD, and BackRoad Gee. Fluent in French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese – and with an ear for Lingala and Yoruba – Agatchu’s extensive travels and multicultural experiences have infused his sound with a rich tapestry of folk, pop, afrobeats, and tribal melodies, which he describes as “frequencies with spiritual and therapeutic properties.”
