KING RAPSODI RELEASES “THE RHAPSODIES” EP: A JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE AND MUSIC

Rasaki Andrew Sodiki, better known as King Rapsodi, is a versatile Afropop artist. Hailing from Osun State and raised in Delta and Edo states, King Rapsodi was born on November 12, 1998.

Initially drawn to writing, he discovered his singing talent later, skyrocketing to fame with his viral freestyle track “Ashewo.” King Rapsodi leverages his melodies, and lyrics to resonate with the streets and captivate urban audiences.

His latest EP, “The Rhapsodies,” showcases his personal experiences. “FACE,” a response to misconceptions about his viral hit “Ashewo,” appreciates the beauty, strength, and special qualities of women. “GBEMI,” inspired by the chaotic atmosphere surrounding Davido and Chioma’s wedding, explores the complexities of emotions and the importance of perseverance. “CASANOVA” is a personal story about a relationship that required change, reflecting on the need to stay true to oneself.

Other notable tracks include “EDE,” an Urhobo word translated to “Day,” which reflects Rapsodi’s life experiences and the realization that one cannot satisfy everyone. “BAD BOYS” began as a freestyle during a hangout session, evolving into a song about street struggles and making ends meet. “HENNESSY” is a personal piece born from a period of introspection, serving as a motivation to be mindful of one’s actions and speech.
