Nigerian Afropop artist CupidSZN is steadily carving a name for himself in the music industry. His rise has been marked by his ability to blend modern Afropop production with playful lyricism.
After two successful collaborations with renowned Nigerian producer Ozedikus on tracks like “Ifeoma” and “Belle,” CupidSZN is ready to turn up the heat with his latest single, “Service.”
“Service” is a flirtatious song where CupidSZN uses playful automotive metaphors to describe his attraction to a romantic partner.
He shares his admiration for a woman’s beauty and charm, underscoring his willingness to be attentive and devoted. CupidSZN likens his desire to “service” a car, implying that just as a vehicle needs careful maintenance, so too does a relationship. Through playful wordplay, CupidSZN draws listeners into a lighthearted yet sincere narrative about love and devotion.

According to CupidSZN, the track was produced entirely over FaceTime, with every element—from the beat to the lyrics—crafted remotely. He explains, “I wanted the song to have local elements to it. The percussion has a lot of African influences, and the bass was made from kongas.” Mixed and mastered by Jacob Hunter, the final product embodies the essence of African love and culture.
“I want people to understand what African love feels like from my lyrics and the groove the instrumentals bring to the table,” says CupidSZN.
