Offering a glimpse into Alpha P’s mind and soul, and reflecting his vulnerability, growth and vision for the future, the Welcome to the Pack EP opens with the deeply emotional ‘Light’, which is inspired by the loss of a close friend, and sees Alpha P reflecting on finding peace in the face of grief. The next song ‘OMW’ is born from a moment of pure creativity from Alpha P, with his melodies and lyrics flowing naturally and effortlessly into a finished work, while the EP’s infectious lead single ‘W’ fulfils a lifelong dream for Alpha P of working with the legendary Olamide. ‘Hold Ya’ brings a soulful groove to a fast-tempo track, recorded in the intimacy of Alpha P’s living room, and the EP closer ‘4am’ flips the script on traditional love songs, and explores the idea of Alpha P being pursued by his leading lady.
