UK-based Nigerian soul-singer/songwriter Maka sets off the summer with her latest slow-burn ballad titled “Sweet”. The track sees her teaming up with producer/DJ Teck-Zilla who laces her with a jazz/soul/afrobeat-infuseds soundscape made up of warm Rhodes riffs, soft plucks and bass-laden grooves. The overall warmth is exemplified by Maka’s gentle vocals that effortlessly cascade through the ears. Basking in the euphoria of true love, Maka details the comfort of being in the arms of the right one where everything is pure bliss.
“Sweet” is also bolstered by the lush electric guitar accompaniment from guitarist AK Stringz and xylophones/strings from Big Foot.
“Sweet” serves as the lead single from Maka’s forthcoming EP Moments In Motion, a 7 track body of work entirely produced by Teck-Zilla with additional instruments from Bigfoot and guitars by AK Stringz.
