Floyd is in alignment with his purpose and he embodies what it means to create from a righteous place.
ABOUT ‘NO PLACE LIKE OM’
Floyd Miles released a series of diverse singles throughout the summer: ‘Don’t Play’, ‘Attract’, ‘Afraka’, ‘Insomnia’, and ‘Nasty’, which have been compiled into an 8-track EP titled “No Place Like Om” (NPLO) that highlights his impeccable penmanship, versatile production, and harmonic vocals.
NPLO was created over the span of one year and signifies a pivotal point in Floyd’s journey. He shares his perspective on divine partnerships and spirituality and pays homage to the ancestors who dedicated their life’s work to enlightening those who choose to receive and apply their divine knowledge.
Floyd took the lead on the production of NPLO and crafted a sound that integrates his R&B core with the vibrant soundscapes of Afrobeats, Jazz, House, and Pop. In doing so, he was intentional about creating his own lane in the ever-changing Afrobeats space. He teamed up with two talented Ghanaian artists who are the only features on NPLO—Tema, Ghana’s Yung D3mz, bridging the gap across continents to bring us ‘Attract’, and Miami, Florida’s KTK for ‘One of One’, an electrifying dance tune.
With each new release, Floyd commands the ears of listeners, leaving an everlasting impression through the elevation of his sound, his songwriting, and the expansion of his consciousness. His purpose is clear on NPLO: to embody love, to spread the truth, and to put his attention towards ascension.
