Hot on the heels of his first single ‘Benefit Boyz’ (ft. Jawsz), Tena is ready to share
more of his sound with another single ‘Bumpy’ (ft. MOJO AF) on the 29th of July as a kick off to his EP ‘Vibes Alive’, which is set for release on the 12th of August.
Born Tena Podeke on June 26, 1993, in Lagos State, Nigeria, Tena Tenpo’s music
can be termed Afro-fusion, mixing afrobeat influences with rap and sometimes,
R&B. In Tena’s words, “..music is way bigger than a genre. It’s more like the sound of
different emotions and times. I just make good music.”
On ‘Bumpy’, Tena and MOJO glide through the smooth meld of Hip-Hop and
Afropop elements, in their ever-present braggadocio, eking out power packed lines
about their lifestyles and all that comes with it.
