MASTERKRAFT ILLUMINATES THE PATH WITH NEW GOSPEL ALBUM “LIGHT”

Born Sunday Ginikachukwu Nweke, the celebrated Nigerian producer, DJ, pianist, and songwriter has built a career on versatility. From street hits to chart-topping pop, Masterkraft’s fingerprints are on some of Afrobeats’ most iconic records. However, with his new album, ‘Light’, he ventures into a more personal realm, crafting a gospel body of work that is honest, healing, and deeply spiritual.
‘Light’ is not a performance, it’s a prayer. Across 10 carefully crafted tracks, Masterkraft invites listeners into his faith journey, combining sounds from Afro-Gospel, house, soft-highlife, and soul with scripture-coded bars and heartfelt storytelling. “To You” opens the album with simple gratitude, a humble “Thank You, Lord” that sets the tone for what’s to come. “In Jesus’ Name” feels like a victory chant, fierce in faith, grounded in scripture, and bold in declaration. On “Ezebube” featuring Prinx Emmanuel, Masterkraft goes deeper, laying out reflections on divine mercy and personal redemption over a soul-leaning Afrobeat rhythm.
“This album is my testimony,” Masterkraft shares. “It’s about everything I’ve been through, survived, and been forgiven for. It’s praise from a real place.”
